2. Can I take the 12 day intensive even if I haven’t finished the Online course?
Yes
3. How much experience do I need before taking the training?
We accept students with no experience. However we prefer that you have at least taken 6 months worth of yoga classes.
4.What style of asana do you practice?

5. Do you have many sets that I can use in my teaching?
Yes. We have hundreds of sets. Many are Slo-deep restorative sets and we have our Atma yoga beginner’s set and Atma Power yoga 1 +2 sets which are practiced during the 12 day intensive. Read More
6.Can you help me to get a job after the training?
We cannot directly help you to find a job. However, there is a lecture series on the Business of yoga that aims to provide you with ideas and guidance on how to start a business and promote yourself.
7. I am coming from out of town or internationally. Can you provide accommodation for me?
There are two guestrooms next door to our yoga studio which can be rented for $80 p/night. The rooms accommodate 2 people so if you are willing to share and there is another student we can pair you with, the nightly rate would be reduced to $40 per person.
8. Do you accept payment arrangements?
Yes. The certification fee is $1595 but you can pay for the online course first ($395) and the balance when you are ready to take the 12 day intensive. Note: The balance must be received one week prior to commencement of the intensive and your place is not reserved till payment is made.
9. Do I need Insurance once I become a Yoga Teacher?
Yes. Even if a studio that employs you has insurance, it is advisable for you to get your own private insurance for when you are moving to different locations etc.
10. When do we audit the 12 classes?
Only after you complete the 12 day intensive. The classes must be taken from 12 different teachers but they can be from any style. They do not have to be restricted to studio settings either.

12. Where can I take an Atma Yoga class?
Our school offers Teacher Trainings only. However, there are many Atma Yoga Teachers Teaching in LA and in many cities of the USA. Please contact Taruni for class details with these teachers.
13. How long does it take to finish the online course?
Most students finish the course in 4-6 weeks.
14. If I sign up for the 12 day intensive but I can’t attend for some reason, can I take one at a later date?
Yes. Once you have paid in full, you can elect to attend any of our scheduled intensives as suits your availability.
15. Do you offer refunds if I have paid but can’t complete the training?
Please refer to our refund policy for full details . We offer a refund only for the amount of the 12 day and only with a medical certificate. There is no refund offered for the online course fee.
16. How many students are usually in the training?
We limit our training to 14 for quality control and space limitations at our LA studio. The average number of attendees is 10.
17. What kind of support do you offer to graduates?
We have an online community site that you will be invited to join upon registration where you can network with fellow teachers. We currently have a weekly class studying the Yoga sutras of Patajali that all students are invited to attend. Our website is also regulrly updated with the latest training lectures which you can download for continuing education.
18. I have not heard of Atma Yoga untill now. Where does it come from and was it created by the founder?
The term Atma Yoga is found in the oldest Sanskrit yoga texts. It refers to the yoga of the soul. The founder of this program, Atma was named after these yoga practices and he has developed them into a system appropriate for the modern world.
19. How many Atma yoga teachers are there?
Atma yoga teachers are all over the world. Visit our Teachers from around the world page to see trainings held over the last 10 years. We estimate that there are around 300 certified teachers.
20. How physically fit do I need to be before the training?
The intensive will require you to do mat practice for two hours in the morning session and one hour in the evening. This will require a level of good stamina but if you are not fit before the training, you will be after.
